They are actually pretty easy to wear, the dress is made really really long and so you tuck it into the skirt called a gogorad in Somali and then you drape the shawl over your shoulders or chest (if there are no men around) or wear it as a hejab or wear a matching hejab and still drape the shawl. The two I have are made of cotton voile and are casual or for slightly nicer occasions...I am hoping to take some decent pictures soon.
